Bonniediva's ABC Book HISTORY

 I love themes and categories. I seem to thrive artistically when there are boundaries set.  Romeo, my youngest, and I used to go get frozen yogurt at a place that had plastic tables. On each table was a bowl of crayons for drawing. We invented a drawing game called The ABC Game , where we would take turns drawing things that started with the next letter in the alphabet. But, the trick was, we had to draw an unusual thing... or action... or emotion.  Here's an example of what we might draw: A - Avocado     B- Broken     C- Crabby I keep scraps of things I love, in a book. This is old-school "scrap booking." I don't use fancy paper or expensive store-bought ephemera. I have big blank journals and I glue in pieces that have special mean to me or things I just like to look at. But the trick is I sort them by letter. With a big marker, I write the letter in upper corner and start filling up the page with items that belong with that letter. As the pages fill up, I add more
